Our business model

How NileDash works for customers, merchants, and couriers.

What NileDash is

NileDash is a local marketplace and delivery platform. We connect three sides of the city: people who want to order, businesses that sell, and couriers who deliver. We do not replace restaurants or shops — we help them reach more customers and fulfil orders efficiently.

Customers

Browse nearby places, place multi-merchant orders, and track delivery.

Merchants

List products, accept orders, and grow sales with optional company delivery.

Couriers

Pick up ready orders and earn on flexible delivery assignments.

How an order works

1
Customer orders Items from one or more active merchants, with delivery address and payment choice.
2
Merchant prepares Each merchant accepts their part of the order and marks it ready for pickup.
3
Courier delivers A courier is assigned (where company delivery applies), picks up, and completes the drop-off.
4
Settlement Platform commission and taxes are applied; merchants receive payouts on the agreed schedule.

How NileDash earns

  • Merchant commission — a percentage of order value (default rate set by the platform; can vary per merchant).
  • Delivery fees — calculated from delivery zones and distance so pricing stays transparent.
  • Optional services — promotions, featured placement, or subscriptions may apply where offered.

Customers see item prices, delivery fees, and discounts before confirming. Merchants see their rates and settlements in their dashboard.

Why this model

A three-sided marketplace scales local commerce without forcing every shop to run its own fleet. Customers get choice and convenience; merchants get demand; couriers get flexible work. Clear fees and status tracking keep the system fair and operational.
